Director, Finance and Sustainability
TVO is seeking a Director, Finance and Sustainability to lead and further develop the Group’s finance, performance management and sustainability functions at a time of continued operational focus and long‑term transformation.
In this role, you will take end‑to‑end responsibility for TVO’s financial performance management, FP&A, business controlling and sustainability agenda. You will ensure high‑quality, reliable and forward‑looking financial steering while continuously developing finance processes, data utilisation and ways of working to support decision‑making across production, projects and group operations.
The role combines strong leadership of core finance responsibilities with an active mandate to develop performance management, forecasting and finance processes in close cooperation with business, Digital & Data, and other CFO functions.
The role is a member of the CFO management team and reports to the CFO.
Key elements of the role include:
- Leading TVO’s end‑to‑end financial performance management, FP&A and business controlling across production, projects, group and subsidiaries
- Ensuring high‑quality planning, forecasting and performance follow‑up that supports operational excellence, investment decision‑making and long‑term value creation
- Developing and harmonising finance processes, models and governance across the “plan‑to‑perform”, “record‑to‑report” and “project‑to‑profit” landscape
- Strengthening data‑driven finance practices by improving the use of financial, operational and sustainability data in steering and analysis
- Owning and developing TVO’s sustainability steering in close integration with finance, supporting CSRD requirements and long‑term climate and value objectives
- Driving continuous improvement of finance tools, systems and reporting in cooperation with Digital & Data, including automation and analytics
- Acting as a key finance partner to executive management, business leaders and external stakeholders
We hope that you are:
- A senior finance leader with strong experience in FP&A, business controlling and performance management in a complex operating environment
- Comfortable combining strategic financial steering with hands‑on leadership of finance teams and processes
- Experienced in developing finance operating models, governance and data‑driven ways of working
- Confident in integrating sustainability into financial steering, planning and performance management
- Structured, execution‑oriented and able to drive clarity and transparency in decision‑making
- Fluent in English, Finnish at a professional working level
- Holding a relevant Master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or a comparable field
- Experience from energy, industrial or regulated environments is considered a strong advantage
