We are seeking a Director, Commercial & Procurement to lead and develop TVO’s commercial operations, procurement, contract management and supplier ecosystem in a time of significant transformation.


In this role, you will take a leading position in strengthening and modernising TVO’s commercial operations. As a strategic partner you will develop commercial governance, processes and tools that support safe, reliable and cost‑efficient nuclear power production. The role combines strategic development with hands‑on execution, offering a clear mandate to raise commercial maturity and create lasting impact across the organisation.


The role is member of the CFO management team and reports to CFO.


Key elements of the role include:


  • Leading the development of TVO’s commercial operations, procurement and contract management
  • Strengthening commercial governance, decision‑making practices and performance measurement
  • Building end‑to‑end commercial and procurement processes in close cooperation with operations and projects
  • Leading the renewal of the commercial organisation and defining clear roles and responsibilities
  • Developing supplier partnerships and the vendor ecosystem in a changing market environment
  • Driving commercial process development, digitalisation and ERP‑related requirements
  • Acting as a key commercial partner to executive management and internal stakeholders


We hope that you are:


  • A senior commercial leader ready to move beyond traditional procurement into an organisation‑wide development and transformation role
  • Strong experience in strategic procurement, commercial leadership and supplier ecosystem development in international, complex and preferably regulated environments
  • Solid end‑to‑end capability in contract management, tendering, commercial risk management and governance, combined with a structured and execution‑oriented working style
  • Proven ability to lead ERP or large‑scale digitalisation initiatives and translate business needs into practical, implementable solutions
  • Fluent in English, Finnish at a professional working level
  • Holding a relevant Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics or a comparable field
  • Familiar with energy, heavy industry or long-cycle project environments is considered beneficial
