Do you want to work on one of the biggest problems of our time – how we make energy systems transparent, affordable, and powered by renewables? Energy data underpins everything we do at tem, from pricing intelligence to customer success, and we’re building a team that can turn raw numbers into powerful decisions.
We’re looking for a Lead Data Analyst to become the voice of data across tem, acting in a principle capacity without being weighed down by management. This is a pivotal role: you’ll partner with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to unlock insights, define metrics, and standardise how data drives decision-making. From analysing feature impact, to sizing new commercial opportunities, to understanding churn and broker performance, your work will shape the future of our product and business.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics, storytelling, and strategy - you’ll pair technical depth with creativity and influence, ensuring data becomes a true competitive advantage for tem.

- Partner with stakeholders: Collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to translate challenges into analytical solutions.
- Create insights that drive action: Deliver in-depth analyses that inform product, commercial, and customer decisions.
- Standardise metrics and dashboards: Establish consistent definitions and clear visualisations to make data accessible across the business.
- Champion data-driven decision-making: Advocate for better use of data and empower non-technical colleagues to self-serve.
- Shape the stack: Influence the evolution of our analytics tools and processes as tem scales.
- Mentor and elevate: Guide junior analysts, raising the bar for technical quality and storytelling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Ensure data insights flow seamlessly between the data team, engineering, and business units.
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience: Multiple years in data analytics and experienced in influencing decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative communicator: Skilled at working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Technical depth: Strong SQL skills, experience with modern analytics stacks (dbt, Looker/Tableau, or similar technologies).
- Data storytelling: Ability to simplify complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives and visuals.
- Business acumen: Comfortable with product impact analysis, commercial sizing, churn analysis, and performance measurement.
- Mentorship: Experience coaching junior analysts and setting high standards for analysis.
- Experience defining metrics frameworks at scale.
- Familiarity with energy markets, fintech, or climate tech.
- Exposure to BI and data adoption initiatives.
- Competitive salary - our current band for this role is £94,500 or equivalent in local currency.
- We review salaries twice a year using real-time market data, with transparent, consistent pay for the same role and level.

- Up to £1,200 / €1,200 annually to upgrade your remote setup (co-working passes, equipment, etc.).
- Up to £150 / €150 monthly on anything that supports your wellbeing - from therapy to gym memberships to meditation apps.

- First call with our Talent Team (30 min). This is to understand your experience, motivations, and discuss the role in more detail.
- Behaviour Interview with our Data Manager (45 min). This is your chance to really understand the role, the expectations, and ensure alignment on ways of working.
- Technical Interviews with the Team (60 min). You’ll meet members of the team, in a hands-on session, focused on analysis, problem-solving, and visualisation.
- Culture-Add Interview with Stakeholders (45 min). The final session will be with one of our Co-Founders, and a cross-functional peer, and will explore how your values align with ours, and is designed to be a genuine two-way conversation, your chance to understand what it’s really like to work at tem.
