Location: Old Saybrook, CT (Full-Time, Onsite)
Telyon is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Finance Associate to join our team in Old Saybrook, CT. The ideal candidate will bring 1–5 years of relevant finance experience within a commercial solar company and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of project financing, including financial modeling, due diligence, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio management. This is a full-time, in-office role with significant opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic and expanding industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain, and refine complex financial models to support project evaluation, structuring, and financing.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials for internal leadership and external financing partners.
- Support the execution of tax equity, debt financing, and PPA transactions, including coordination with legal, technical, and financial advisors.
- Conduct financial and commercial due diligence on solar projects.
- Collaborate with development, engineering, and project management teams to align project assumptions and financial outcomes.
- Track and report on the performance of financed projects, ensuring compliance with lender and investor requirements.
- Monitor market trends, policy changes, and financial structures within the commercial solar industry to inform strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
- 1–5 years of professional finance experience within a commercial solar company (required).
- Strong understanding of tax equity, debt financing, PPAs, and other project finance structures common in commercial solar.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; familiarity with financial analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be in office full time.
