REC Trader (renewable energy credits)
We’re partnering with a growing energy trading platform to hire an experienced REC Trader to help scale their environmental markets business.
This is a hands-on trading role focused on Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) across compliance and voluntary markets, working closely with origination, analytics, and risk.
REC Trader responsibilities;
- Trading RECs across US compliance and voluntary markets
- Managing positions, risk, and P&L
- Developing relationships with utilities, corporates, and counterparties
- Supporting market expansion, product development, and liquidity growth
- Working closely with analytics and origination to drive alpha
REC Trader experience;
- Proven experience trading RECs or environmental attributes (RECs, RINs, LCFS, GOOs a plus)
- Strong understanding of compliance vs voluntary markets
- Commercial mindset with solid risk discipline
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial trading environment
