Location: Preference for Northeast East Corridor (Hybrid) | Travel ~30%

Compensation: Up to $300K base + 60% bonus + full benefits + equity participation

OVERVIEW

A fast-scaling energy efficiency and clean energy solutions provider is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to lead its commercial growth and client conversion strategy. Backed by top-tier private equity infrastructure investors and led by a founding team with deep sector experience, the company delivers turnkey energy performance solutions to large industrial, pharma, defense, and manufacturing clients.

This is a rare opportunity to help scale a platform with a strong client base, award-winning project delivery, and a significant national project pipeline. The CCO will drive revenue, build commercial partnerships, and oversee the development-to-contract lifecycle of major decarbonization projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and drive the companys commercial strategy, pipeline conversion, and revenue generation.
  • Lead and mentor a small but growing sales and business development team (currently 5-6).
  • Build structured sales playbooks to engage CFOs and sustainability leaders across Fortune 500 industrial verticals.
  • Oversee complex commercial negotiations (PPAs, EAAS, EPC, O&M, etc.).
  • Partner with project development, engineering, and finance teams to ensure technical and financial viability of each project.
  • Scale go-to-market strategy across multiple verticals
  • Serve as a key executive face of the company in client, partner, and investor conversations.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Demonstrated success in a commercial leadership role in energy, infrastructure, or engineered systems - preferably at the intersection of energy and real estate.
  • Deep understanding of project finance, energy performance contracts, and decarbonization solutions.
  • Proven track record of developing $10M+ revenue books of business.
  • Comfortable working with sustainability leads, facilities heads, and selling up to the CFO.
  • Exceptional communicator and relationship-builder; cultural fit is paramount.
  • Experience in high-growth environments or private equity-backed platforms strongly preferred.
