Manager - Power Market Fundamentals

Talisman are partnered with a well-capitalized IPP as they go-to-market for a Manager, Market Fundamentals, you will be the key point of contact for delivering all necessary revenue analysis to support major investment and commercial decisions across a portfolio of low carbon assets, directly contributing to the company's growth targets.

Responsibilities

• Shape strategic decisions related to investments, commercial agreements, and portfolio acquisitions/divestitures within competitive U.S. electricity markets, optimizing value creation at both project and portfolio levels
• Build and maintain informed perspectives on evolving market dynamics, including decarbonization policies, renewable generation growth, storage adoption, dispatchable resources, load flexibility, incentive structures, and environmental regulation
• Lead market research, forecasting, and valuation activities using a combination of proprietary tools and third-party datasets/models, converting analytical outputs into commercially relevant recommendations

Qualifications & Technical Experience

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Statistics
• 7+ years of experience supporting the development, optimization, or commercialization of clean energy or low-carbon infrastructure in U.S. organized power markets
• Deep familiarity with wholesale electricity markets and commodity market dynamics, including key revenue drivers, market structures, and exposure risks
• Background in energy market analytics, dispatch modeling, forecasting, or infrastructure valuation
