Job Title: K-12 Education Superintendent

Location: Locations throughout the North Bay, California Area

Salary: $130,000-$160,000

Join a leading organization within the construction industry focused on delivering large-scale projects for institutional clients, including K-12 school districts. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced superintendent to oversee the on-site coordination of end-to-end construction activities. You will work with a collaborative team, utilizing best practices in safety, quality, and schedule management to bring high-visibility educational facilities to life in the Northern California area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive on-site supervision for all phases of large commercial construction projects from start to completion.
  • Coach subcontractors to ensure adherence to established safety protocols and practices.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards, promptly addressing any subcontractor deficiencies.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, establishing critical paths for subcontractors and vendors.
  • Facilitate proactive coordination and communication among subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with design teams and project owners to quickly address and resolve challenges or unforeseen conditions.
  • Review all construction drawings, specifications, and submittals in detail for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and issue weekly schedule updates to key stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of total construction experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractor relationships and construction sequencing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of ASI's (Architect's Supplemental Instructions), RFI's (Requests for Information), and material submittal processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore project management software.
  • Experience with CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) and/or Design/Build delivery methods.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Background working on K-12 or institutional construction projects.
  • Familiarity with California building codes and educational sector requirements.
  • Ability to travel for multi-site project supervision within the state.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and team collaboration.
  • Experience with high-visibility, fast-track construction environments.
