Are you an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent looking for an exciting opportunity to lead large-scale projects? Our client, a dynamic company in the construction industry, is seeking a seasoned professional to manage field operations, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. This role offers the chance to work on multi-million-dollar commercial developments while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and driving quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through final completion.
  • Manage, mentor, and supervise on-site construction teams, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating labor, equipment, and subcontractor activities to ensure timely progress.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Monitor project budgets, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts and challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and provide detailed progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to contract documents throughout all phases of construction.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and trade partners to support smooth project delivery.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar projects (e.g., office buildings, retail, healthcare, education, industrial, or mixed-use developments).
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
  • Experience with industrial or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a focus on mentorship.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and codes.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients.
