About the Opportunity:
The Sustainability & Energy Data Engagement Specialist supports the organization’s global sustainability and energy performance objectives by partnering with manufacturing plants and key stakeholders. This role focuses on managing and analyzing energy data, identifying efficiency opportunities, facilitating knowledge sharing, supporting sustainability reporting, and advancing initiatives that contribute to global energy and carbon reduction goals.
Responsibilities:
• Support manufacturing plants in the use of energy management tools and performance reporting processes.
• Monitor and analyze energy performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate energy leader communities, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Develop energy management guidelines and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support energy efficiency projects and capital investment initiatives.
• Conduct site visits to identify opportunities for improved energy performance and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with energy reporting requirements and data quality standards.
• Contribute to global energy programs and sustainability reporting activities.
• Manage customer sustainability data requests and coordinate timely responses.
• Support carbon reduction initiatives and sustainability certification activities.
• Monitor sustainability and carbon-related legislation and assess implications for organizational strategy.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to advance energy performance and sustainability objectives.
• Support data-driven business cases, project evaluations, and investment decisions related to energy efficiency.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in energy management, energy efficiency, sustainability, or a related field.
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of sustainability principles, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction practices.
• Six Sigma, statistical analysis, or continuous improvement training preferred.
• ISO 50001 training or experience with energy management systems preferred.
• Knowledge of energy metering systems and calibration practices.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
• Experience supporting organizational adoption of new processes and tools.
• Financial skills related to budgeting, project evaluation, and business case development.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Expected salary range: $80,000–$99,000 per year, adjusted based on candidate experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
