Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team for a ground-up new Target Grocery Store project in Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in commercial electrical construction, including grocery stores, retail spaces, and similar environments. This role requires strong technical skills, teamwork, and a commitment to completing high-quality electrical installations safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install overhead lighting, LED fixtures, exit signs, outlets, switches, and exterior lighting inside and outside the facility.
• Perform wire pulling, conduit bending, and cable terminations according to project specifications and NEC standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and layout plans to ensure proper installation and system performance.
• Operate lifts and other equipment safely to perform elevated electrical work.
• Collaborate closely with foremen, project managers, and team members to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized jobsite.
• Troubleshoot and correct electrical issues during the installation phase as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician (license preferred).
• Proven experience in commercial construction, particularly in grocery stores, malls, or retail projects.
• Proficient in installing LED and overhead lighting systems using lifts and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Must have reliable transportation, full set of hand tools, and required PPE.
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
