Position Summary

T1 Energy is seeking an Inventory Control Assistant to support the Equipment Department through accurate inventory tracking and efficient spare parts management within our high-volume solar module manufacturing facility. This role ensures all parts are received, stored, documented, and distributed correctly, supporting maintenance activities and minimizing equipment downtime. The Inventory Control Assistant plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring organized storage areas, and providing reliable parts support to the equipment team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of all incoming, outgoing, and on-hand parts in the inventory system.
  • Determine and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking and stockouts.
  • Receive shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and organize parts into their correct storage locations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Warehouse and MRO, to ensure timely receipt of items.
  • Label and organize products in a neat, logical, and accessible manner within the spare parts room or stockroom.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe spare parts area to support operational efficiency.
  • Fulfill parts requests from the equipment team, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of components needed for repairs.
  • Conduct periodic and annual cycle counts to verify physical inventory accuracy against system records.
  • Manage the return process for unused, damaged, or recalled parts, including packaging and documentation for supplier returns.
  • Prepare routine inventory reports, including stock levels, usage trends, and data to support forecasting and decision-making.
  • Track and maintain all inventory-related documentation, such as packing slips and parts tracking forms, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Suggest and implement new process to improve the management system.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with computers and spreadsheets; experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting, recording, and verifying stock.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain orderly storage systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordination across departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written) required.
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment and interact with both office and floor personnel.


Work Environment

  • Combination of spare parts room, office and production floor settings; frequent standing, walking, and movement required.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing may be required while on the floor.


Schedule

  • Full-time, hourly position.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend sessions to accommodate multiple shifts.



DAY SCHEDULE (12 hour rotational shifts):
A Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm (1st week: 4 days on & 3 days off / 2nd week: 3 days on & 4 days off)
C Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm (1st week: 4 days off & 3 days on / 2nd week: 3 days off & 4 days on)

EVENING SCHEDULE (12 hour rotational shifts):
B Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am (1st week: 4 days on & 3 days off / 2nd week: 3 days on & 4 days off)
D Shift 6:00pm - 6:00am (1st week: 4 days off & 3 days on / 2nd week: 3 days off & 4 days on)
