This role will lead contract development, vendor negotiations, and manage procurement activities that are closely tied to regulatory and tax-driven project deadlines.
A strong understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to manage fast-paced, cross-functional initiatives is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement activities for wind energy projects, with a focus on tax-incentive and regulatory compliance.
Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts ensuring alignment with project timelines and regulatory requirements.
Partner with legal, tax, and regulatory teams to ensure procurement strategies comply with applicable laws and incentives (e.g., PTC/ITC).
Support rapid-turnaround projects driven by policy changes or regulatory deadlines.
Collaborate with engineering, project development, and construction teams to ensure timely material and service delivery.
Analyze supplier proposals and make data-driven sourcing recommendations.
Track and report on project progress, risks, and savings opportunities to leadership.
Ensure alignment with internal procurement policies and sustainability goals.
Required Qualifications: 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management—preferably in the energy or construction sector.
Utility or energy industry background Experience with wind contracts and regulatory knowledge Strong understanding of contract development and negotiation.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly wind energy.
Knowledge of U.S.
energy tax credits, state/local permitting, or regulatory filing processes.
Background in strategic sourcing or supply chain management for large capital projects.
Pay Range: $100.00/hr.
- $103.00/hr.
