Position Overview
Electrical Technicians support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and remediation of Energy Cube systems. This role includes building energy cube trays, installing battery management systems, performing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and working with high-voltage systems up to 1500 volts. Technicians ensure product quality, follow precise documentation, and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.
We are hiring technicians of all experience levels across multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming energy blocks to confirm quality and identify any issues
Assemble and disassemble Energy Cube trays and components
Install Battery Management Systems (BMS) and string boards
Perform initial testing following FAT procedures and ensure FAT documentation is completed accurately
Use hand and power tools safely to assemble electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies
Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical/mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials
Inspect subassemblies and assemblies using measurement tools, visual inspection, and test equipment
Identify, correct, and prevent process or material defects
Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues efficiently
Energize and discharge energy cubes at voltages up to 1500V
Monitor data recorders, gather and analyze test data, and adjust parameters as needed
Serve as the on-shift point of contact for progress updates to supervisors and managers
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organization and ability to prioritize tasks
Capability to perform a wide range of tasks within the department
Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient use of hand/power tools and measurement devices
Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a routine basis
Solid troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical systems
Education & Experience Levels
Electrical Technician Associate
No experience required
Associate degree in an electrical field required
Demonstrated mechanical skill with hand and power tools
Electrical Technician Level I
2+ years electrical experience
Associate degree in an electrical field required
Competent with hand and power tools
Electrical Technician Level II
5+ years electrical experience
High-voltage and industrial/manufacturing experience required
Journeyman electrician preferred
Associate degree in an electrical field required
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
