🔍 Overview
Swoon is supporting a leading energy industry client in launching an innovative grid-edge initiative focused on residential electrification. The team is deploying a new smart panel and EV charger product suite , and is seeking a Product Manager to lead field execution, operational coordination, and go-to-market support throughout 2026.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment and enjoys bringing early-stage products from concept to real-world deployment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Operational Deployment & Field Execution
- Support the development and optimization of installation, inspection, and commissioning workflows with internal teams.
- Coordinate product availability, logistics, and delivery readiness with supply chain teams and external vendors.
- Ensure all field deployment activities comply with internal standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate risks with recommended solutions.
Customer Journey & Program Enablement
- Build and maintain a residential customer funnel in partnership with marketing and internal programs.
- Collaborate with customer programs (EV, home electrification, energy efficiency) to identify eligible customers.
- Develop program materials, customer journeys, and customer-facing content in collaboration with marketing teams.
- Act as the day-to-day liaison among customers, installers, and product vendors.
Installer Network Management
- Establish and manage a trusted network of electricians and installers.
- Coordinate installer onboarding, training, performance monitoring, and ongoing engagement.
- Oversee post-installation workflows, customer support processes, and escalation pathways.
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze key operational metrics such as installation timelines, customer satisfaction, and support cases.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to refine the deployment strategy.
🧩 Qualifications
Required
- Strong experience in product delivery, program management, product management, or operations , ideally within energy, electrification, utilities, construction, or related technical sectors.
- Understanding of utility processes (service planning, permitting, field operations) or ability to learn them quickly.
- Hands-on experience coordinating field deployments, hardware installations, or contractor/installer networks.
- Demonstrated experience improving operations, customer support workflows, or field processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Ability to travel locally for field visits, installer meetings, and training events as needed.
Preferred
- Experience with electrification technologies, EV charging, DERs, smart panels, or grid-edge hardware.
- Prior experience within the energy or utility industry.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related discipline.
