About The Role – Marketing Lead

We are looking for a Marketing Lead to spearhead our marketing function and expand the digital footprint of our products globally. This role combines strategy and hands-on execution across:

  • B2B SaaS Marketing
  • Demand Generation
  • Customer Advocacy
  • Account Based Marketing (ABM)

You will lead a small team (2–3 people), oversee both online and offline marketing, and build a predictable pipeline engine for our product suite, while shaping Sustainiam’s brand in the climate tech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy across brand, demand generation, and customer marketing.
  • Plan and implement full-funnel marketing strategies (awareness → consideration → conversion → retention) for global B2B clients.
  • Lead and mentor a 2–3 member marketing team, driving clarity on goals, responsibilities, and performance.
  • Partner closely with Founders, Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align marketing with business priorities and revenue goals.

B2B SaaS Marketing, Demand Generation & ABM

  • Design and execute B2B SaaS Marketing programs focused on lead generation, pipeline acceleration, and account expansion.
  • Build and run multi-channel demand gen campaigns (email, paid, organic, events, content syndication, partnerships).
  • Develop and implement Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategies for high-value target accounts, in collaboration with sales.
  • Set up nurture journeys, lead scoring models, and conversion workflows using marketing automation tools (Zoho + others).

Customer Advocacy & Product Marketing

  • Build Customer Advocacy programs – case studies, testimonials, reviews, references, communities, and user councils.
  • Work with product teams to translate features into compelling product narratives, positioning, and messaging.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement collateral – pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards, ROI calculators, comparison sheets.

Digital, Content & Brand

  • Oversee Sustainiam’s digital presence: website, SEO, social media, email, and newsletters.
  • Lead content strategy and production: blogs, thought leadership, whitepapers, case studies, product explainers, landing pages, and ad copies.
  • Plan and execute online and offline events: product launches, webinars, panels, workshops, sustainability meetups, partner events.
  • Conceptualize and produce podcast series with industry experts and internal leaders to strengthen brand authority.
  • Maintain a consistent, bold, and differentiated brand narrative across all channels and campaigns.

Tools, Automation & Analytics

  • Set up and optimize Zoho (CRM, Campaigns, Marketing Automation) or equivalent tools as the central hub for marketing and sales alignment.
  • Ensure mandatory efficiency and hands-on usage of marketing tools & automation, including email automation, drip sequences, lead scoring, and reporting.
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, funnel metrics, and ROI using tools like Google Analytics, Zoho, and other BI dashboards.
  • Use data to continuously optimize campaigns, content, channels, and budgets.

Market Intelligence

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to refine positioning and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Stay updated with B2B SaaS, climate tech, and digital marketing trends, and translate them into actionable strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and content roles in product-based companies (mandatory).
  • Mandatory startup experience: experience in 0–1 and/or 1–10 stage startups in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven track record in B2B SaaS Marketing | Demand Generation | Customer Advocacy | Account Based Marketing (ABM).
  • Experience managing a small team (2–3 people) and working cross-functionally with sales, product, and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of B2B digital marketing, content marketing, lead generation, and marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • a. Zoho (CRM, Campaigns, Marketing Automation) – strongly preferred.
  • b. Marketing automation and email tools.
  • c. Web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and SEO best practices.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute campaigns end-to-end, manage content calendars, and run events/webinars.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills with an ability to simplify technical/complex topics.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
  • Familiarity with podcast production, webinars, and event coordination is a plus.
  • MBA in Marketing from a top-tier college (mandatory).
  • Genuine passion for climate tech, sustainability, and impact-driven work is highly desirable.
