We are looking for a high-performing Enterprise Software Sales Lead to drive growth in the climate tech and ESG software space. This role is ideal for a consultative seller with a passion for sustainability, a deep understanding of ESG frameworks, and experience engaging with senior decision-makers in large enterprises—especially in the renewable energy and heavy industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive enterprise adoption of Sustainiam’s ESG and carbon management solutions.
- Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including Chief Sustainability Officers (CSOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), ESG Heads, Compliance Officers, and Procurement Leaders.
- ICP Focus: Target large renewable energy companies, utilities, and industrial enterprises with ambitious decarbonization goals and regulatory ESG reporting requirements.
- Solution Selling: Understand client sustainability challenges and position Sustainiam’s tools as enablers for carbon accounting, ESG reporting, climate risk management, and carbon credit monetization.
- Sales Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to demos, proposals, and contract closure.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term client success.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of ESG regulations (e.g., CSRD, TCFD, BRSR), carbon market trends, and sustainability tech innovations to inform sales strategy.
- Performance Management: Track pipeline metrics, forecast revenue, and report on KPIs to leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, with a strong preference for climate tech, ESG, or sustainability software.
- Proven success in selling to C-level executives and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Deep understanding of ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, CDP, BRSR) and carbon accounting methodologies.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and consultative selling skills.
- Familiarity with renewable energy markets, carbon markets, and sustainability reporting platforms.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for climate action and sustainable innovation.
- Prior experience working with renewable energy developers, utilities, or industrial decarbonization projects.
- Exposure to carbon credit trading, scope 1/2/3 emissions tracking, or ESG data platforms.
- Understanding of procurement cycles and compliance mandates in large enterprises.
