We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Solar EPC Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and developing bids, estimates, and schedules for large-scale commercial solar projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and a knack for maintaining excellent client relationships. Your role will ensure accurate budgeting, scheduling, and execution of projects through all stages of the sales and development process.

Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Project Bidding, Estimating & Schedule Planning

  • Lead and manage the bidding and estimating process for large-scale commercial solar projects for specific clients.

  • Develop detailed project schedules, manage timelines, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle to ensure milestones are met.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales and process through to contract signing.

  • Keep all internal softwares up to date with project dates, pricing & documentation.



Technical Sales & Proposal Development

  • Lead technical sales efforts by preparing and delivering compelling proposals and presentations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals reflect accurate project specifications and align with client requirements.

  • Assess technical risks on projects and mitigation through pricing & client communications.


Collaboration & Contract Management

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, permitting, and construction, to ensure project scopes are accurate and feasible.

  • Oversee contract management and ensure smooth transitions from sales to project execution.


Project Bidding

  • Support the team member responsible for project bidding by assisting with bid input, pricing updates, and documentation within internal project management and estimating software.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors during the bid phase to collect pricing, clarify scope, and support timely and accurate proposal development.


Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.

  • Travel to industry conferences, client meetings and other events as needed to stay current on industry trends and maintain client relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Quiet and professional workspace for holding daily video calls.

  • Availability between 8 AM and 5 PM EST, with the flexibility to adjust working hours earlier or later depending on client and project needs.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent work experience in Account Management or Sales may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in account management, project management, sales, estimating, or bidding.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing or bidding construction projects valued over $1M in COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) (preferred)

  • Project management or construction management certifications (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of construction project budgets, timelines, and subcontractor relationships.

  • Experience working with engineering, permitting, and construction teams to develop accurate project scopes.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

  • Proficiency in project web-based management software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with MS Project and ProCore is a plus.
