We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Communications Fellow to help us achieve our mission of rapidly advancing a sustainable future. You would create short-form video, data-driven infographics, and support written communications from community e-news to press releases. We are Sustainability Ambassadors, a local non-profit organization working to advance climate action through student leadership development, place-based curriculum development, and partnership building.

OPPORTUNITY: We want to work with a brilliant storyteller to drive our mission and advance your next career move. 

  • $25 an hour, 20 hours a week, for 6 months with the opportunity to extend to a year. 
  • Independent contractor role, non-employee. 
  • Flexible schedules, mostly online, we trust your creativity and time management. 
  • Positions can start immediately.
  • Applications accepted until we find our Impact Storyteller. 


WHO YOU ARE: A budding professional currently enrolled in college or recently graduated from a program like Digital Arts, Communications, Environmental Studies, or another closely related field. You are the following: 

  • Passionate about climate change, sustainability, and climate action 
  • Comfortable creating social media content like videos, posts, and stories, that may feature your face and personality.
  • Interested in mentoring young graphic designers, content creators, and video storytellers 
  • Skilled at editing both short-form and long-form videos. 
  • Strong communications and writing skills
  • Strong graphic design skills 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
