Chief of Staff, Office of the Managing Director
Working with us is like running a marathon at sprint speed while threading a needle. If that excites you, read on.
The Chief of Staff to the Managing Director is the most strategically leveraged role in the organization. You will be the MD's strategic partner, translating vision into action across investor relations, board governance, client engagement, cross-functional coordination, and growth execution. You will operate across multiple entities within the SuperHumanRace and Super Data Labs ecosystem, including our enterprise SaaS platform, our foundation (think tank and policy advocacy), and emerging climate intelligence ventures.
This is not an administrative role. This is the cockpit of a climate intelligence company building for a $2.7 trillion market, at its inflection point. With outcomes as our currency, we work to drive impact at scale. Inputs, activities, and outputs are incidental.
We need someone who Gets Stuff Done. Not someone who talks about getting stuff done.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive clarity on the Managing Director's top 3 to 5 strategic priorities each quarter; ensure cross-functional execution.
- Conduct research and analysis for investor conversations, partnership development, and policy engagement.
- Prepare board-ready presentations, investment memos, and strategic briefs, often on 24-hour notice. Push through to the outcome, not just the deliverable.
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the Managing Director's Office.
- Draft high-quality correspondence (emails, proposals, investor updates, policy briefs) reflecting the Managing Director's voice: precise, mission-driven, grounded.
- Follow up on contacts across Fortune 500 clients, government bodies, accelerators, and investors. Be a follow-up ninja: no shame in following up relentlessly until the outcome is secured.
- Serve as the Managing Director's liaison to the Board of Directors and advisory bodies.
- Coordinate across all entities within the SuperHumanRace and Super Data Labs ecosystem for cohesive strategic execution.
- Manage the Managing Director's calendar, travel (India and international), and meeting preparation in coordination with the EA.
- Track OKRs across all entities and flag deviations proactively.
- Maintain an impeccable task and priority management system. Nothing falls through the cracks. Nothing.
Who You Are
Attitude: You are optimistic, accountable, collaborative, and hungry. You are a long-term player, not a tourist. You don't say "I'm doing this for the first time." You say: "I haven't done this YET." And then you figure it out.
Aptitude: You are analytical, fast, and a clear communicator. You work hard and learn faster. You can context-switch between a climate policy brief and an investor deck in the same morning without losing precision on either.
- Strategic judgment under ambiguity: you don't wait for instructions; you see the gap, frame options, and move.
- Exceptional written communication: board memos, investor updates, and policy briefs, all pitch-perfect in tone.
- Radical ownership: you treat the Managing Director's priorities as your own.
- Relentless follow-through: you push through to the outcome, not just the output. You don't let things die in someone's inbox.
- Discretion and emotional maturity: you navigate complex dynamics across founders, board members, government officials, and Fortune 500 clients.
- Learning agility: you rapidly master new domains such as climate science, carbon markets, ESG, AI/ML, and sustainable finance.
- Impeccable systems: you run a task and priority management system that is airtight. You know what's due, what's at risk, and what needs escalation, before anyone asks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's in business, public policy, sustainability, or related field is a plus.
- 1 to 3 years in high-agency roles: strategy consulting, founder/CEO support, startup operations, social enterprise leadership, or sustainability-adjacent organizations. A mix of corporate and startup experience is ideal. Knowledge is the least important; attitude and aptitude come first.
- Experience or genuine interest in sustainability, climate, ESG, or impact.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; comfortable with AI tools and new technologies.
Women wanting to start or restart their careers are strongly encouraged to apply.
