Role Description

We are seeking a driven and passionate Business Development Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy—engaging with farmers, solar developers, EPC players, institutional partners, and sustainability stakeholders to bring SunSeed APV’s solutions to life. You’ll support the end-to-end business development process, from lead generation to proposal development, helping build partnerships that advance climate-smart agriculture and renewable energy adoption.


Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the agrivoltaics space acrossagriculture, solar, and rural infrastructure sectors.

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, landowners, agribusinesses, andsolar project developers.

• Conduct market research and help refine go-to-market strategies in target geographies.

• Support partnership discussions, customer presentations, and project proposals.

• Coordinate and participate in field visits, site assessments, and pilot projectevaluations.

• Collaborate with the engineering and agronomy teams to ensure client needs are integrated into technical solutions.

• Track leads, contacts, and opportunities using CRM tools and prepare regular businessdevelopment reports.

• Represent SunSeed APV at industry events, webinars, and regional outreach programs.


Qualifications

  • Masters’ degree in Agriculture Engg, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science,Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or agri/clean-techsales.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong interest in sustainable agriculture, solar energy, and climate-tech solutions.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, mission-driven startup environment.
  • Willingness to travel to rural sites, farms, and stakeholder meetings across the country
  • Experience working with rural communities or agribusinesses.
  • Familiarity with solar project development, rural electrification, or climate adaptation initiatives.
