Accounting Manager

Job Overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. The Accounting Manager will work closely with senior management, project managers, and other departments to ensure financial integrity and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting schedules.
• Analyze financial data and present reports to senior management.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Prepare and submit required regulatory filings and reports.

Accounting Operations & Compliance

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Implement best practices and accounting software enhancements.
• Develop and update accounting policies and procedures.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and support.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
