Solar Outside Sales Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Solar Outside Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. In this commission-only role, you will be responsible for building, leading, and managing your own outside sales team in the solar industry. You will earn commissions on every sale you personally make as well as on every sale made by your team members. This position offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to advance to a Sales Director role based on performance and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing outside sales team focused on residential solar solutions
Drive personal sales activity to generate new business and close deals
Support team members in achieving their sales targets through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on assistance
Track team performance and ensure achievement of collective sales goals
Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and market penetration
Foster a positive, results-driven team culture
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and competitive landscape
Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
Compensation Structure
Commission on all personal sales
Override commission on all sales generated by your team
No base salary; this is a commission-only opportunity

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience building and managing a sales team in the solar industry
Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in solar or renewable energy
Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills
Ability to recruit, train, and develop sales talent
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for clean energy
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Career Path
Outstanding performance in this role can lead to advancement to a Sales Director position, with expanded responsibilities and increased earning potential.
Compensation & Structure
Commission Only: This is a commission-based opportunity. There is no base salary, hourly pay, or employee benefits.
Potential Earnings: The average, $268,000, is based strictly on the performance of his sales and his team's sales.
