We're excited to introduce a role within our growing Regulatory Affairs Team, supporting Sungrow's regulatory activities across Europe.
As a Regulatory Affairs Advisor, you will monitor and assess European and national regulatory developments, translate regulatory requirements into practical business implications, and independently support selected regulatory workstreams across the organization.Working closely with business functions across Europe, you will help ensure that regulatory developments are identified early, assessed from a business perspective, and translated into clear implementation actions. The role will also contribute to Sungrow's understanding of the wider European policy environment, including developments affecting the renewable energy industry and EU-China economic and regulatory relations.

As a Regulatory Affairs Advisor, you will monitor and assess European and national regulatory developments, translate regulatory requirements into practical business implications, and independently support selected regulatory workstreams across the organization.Working closely with business functions across Europe, you will help ensure that regulatory developments are identified early, assessed from a business perspective, and translated into clear implementation actions. The role will also contribute to Sungrow's understanding of the wider European policy environment, including developments affecting the renewable energy industry and EU-China economic and regulatory relations.

- Monitor, analyse and assess new and existing EU, German and national legislation and policy developments relevant to Sungrow's European business.
- Evaluate the potential business, operational and compliance impact of regulatory developments and translate them into practical recommendations and implementation actions.
- Independently manage selected regulatory topics and coordinate their implementation across relevant functions, including Legal, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, ESG, Quality, Product, HR and other internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regulatory and policy research and prepare regulatory impact assessments, management briefings, compliance guidance and implementation roadmaps.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of regulatory compliance frameworks, internal procedures and governance documentation.Monitor policy and regulatory developments affecting the renewable energy sector, including solar PV, battery energy storage and related technologies.
- Follow relevant developments in EU-China economic, trade and regulatory relations and assess their potential implications for Sungrow's European operations.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, industry associations, regulatory advisors and other external stakeholders where required.
- Support Sungrow's participation in relevant industry and regulatory discussions and contribute to the preparation of company positions on emerging regulatory topics.
- Maintain regulatory trackers, implementation records and supporting documentation to ensure timely follow-up of regulatory obligations.Prepare concise regulatory updates and management briefings for internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Contribute to cross-functional regulatory projects and support a strong regulatory and compliance culture across Sungrow Europe.
Role

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, European Law, Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Energy Policy or another relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably gained within a corporate or international business environment, in Regulatory Affairs, Public Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs or a related function.
- Strong understanding of European and German regulatory and policy frameworks affecting international businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex legislative and regulatory developments and translate them into clear, practical business recommendations.
- Experience independently managing regulatory or policy workstreams and coordinating implementation across multiple business functions.
- Strong analytical, research and drafting skills, with the ability to prepare concise materials for both operational teams and senior management.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple regulatory topics and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across international and cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with external legal counsel, industry associations, regulatory authorities, policymakers or other institutional stakeholders is considered an advantage.Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, particularly solar PV, battery energy storage or related technologies, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge or professional exposure to EU-China relations, EU trade and industrial policy, or the regulatory environment affecting Chinese companies operating in Europe is considered a strong advantage.
- German and English at proficient level, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with regulatory intelligence, compliance-management or regulatory-tracking tools is considered an advantage.
