Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dresden. This position is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing Sunfire’s electrolysis systems and associated equipment at customer sites and company facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing inspections and diagnostics, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting all service activities clearly and accurately. The role also involves collaborating with engineering and project teams, supporting system upgrades and retrofits, training customers on proper operation and basic maintenance, and ensuring that all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Field Service Technician represents Sunfire on-site and contributes to high customer satisfaction through reliable, professional service and clear communication.

Qualifications
- Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic systems, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Practical experience with field service or operations in energy, process, or manufacturing environments; familiarity with hydrogen or electrolysis technology is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics; basic skills in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and standard hand tools.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability, with knowledge of relevant standards and a structured approach to documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication skills and customer-oriented mindset; ability to work independently on-site as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as required for on-site assignments and to work in industrial environments.
- Completed vocational training or degree in a technical field (e.g., industrial mechanic, electrician, mechatronics, engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in German and basic English skills; additional language skills are beneficial.
