About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Recruiter to join our New York City office. This role is pivotal in partnering closely with R&D leaders to scale our AI, Engineering, and Product teams across multiple locations and functions. As a Technical Recruiter at Watershed, you will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment lifecycle—from initial intake to offer acceptance—ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. You will also oversee operational metrics, stakeholder relationships, and contribute to building a robust, diverse talent pipeline to support our rapid growth. Qualifications

  • 4+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably within high-growth environments
  • Proven success in sourcing and closing engineering, product, or data science roles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong ability to build diverse and high-quality candidate pipelines from scratch
  • Experience designing structured interviews, scorecards, and analytics to improve hiring quality and reduce bias
  • Ability to track and report key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and offer acceptance rates
  • Technical savvy with a genuine curiosity about AI, technology, and sustainability
  • Passion for creating an inclusive candidate experience and advocating for candidates throughout the process
  • Willingness to work from the office four days a week in New York City (remote options available for some roles)

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for technical roles, including intake, sourcing, calibration, assessment, stakeholder alignment, and closing
  • Partner strategically with engineering, product, and design leaders to understand hiring needs and define role requirements
  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, campaigns, and targeted market mapping
  • Conduct weekly pipeline reviews, ensure SLAs are met, and facilitate interview panel training and debriefs
  • Design and implement structured interviews, scorecards, and analytics to enhance hiring signal and minimize bias
  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics to inform decision-making and optimize processes
  • Support global hiring initiatives, including standing up new teams and filling roles for emerging functions at Watershed
  • Maintain a positive candidate experience, acting as an advocate for candidates throughout the recruitment process
