About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Data Analyst to join our dynamic Sustainability Solutions team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex client portfolios, manage high-impact projects, and contribute to the evolution of our service offerings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, carbon emissions reporting, and sustainability data analysis within the real estate sector. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and quality checking real estate data related to sustainability performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards such as California SB 253. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide strategic insights, and support clients in leveraging data to achieve their sustainability goals. This position can be remote or hybrid, depending on the applicant's preference, and involves occasional travel for training and client meetings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Data Analysis, Sustainability, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis and quality checking, ideally within the real estate sustainability sector
- Significant experience leading GHG inventories and similar analyses such as California SB 253 reporting and embodied carbon measurement
- Experience preparing GRESB submissions and Asset Spreadsheets
- Proficiency in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (ESPM) and familiarity with ENERGY STAR building certification processes
- Experience submitting facilities for state/municipal benchmarking
- Proven ability to manage complex datasets involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking and root cause analysis skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Sheets; experience with SQL, Salesforce or other CRM platforms, Asana, and Google Suite is preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences
- Conduct GHG inventories and related analyses such as California SB 253 reporting and embodied carbon measurement
- Lead the data collection, analysis, and quality assurance processes across multiple client accounts
- Manage onboarding of client data to Conservice's sustainability data platform and support clients in utilizing the platform effectively
- Provide regular updates on data collection progress, management, and quality assessments
- Collaborate with clients to resolve data issues, including utility consumption and property characteristic discrepancies
- Prepare and present comprehensive data analysis reports to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Respond to external data verifiers on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Coordinate with internal teams to streamline data collection and quality assurance workflows
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance data management efficiency
- Manage client relationships to foster value creation through strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
- Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding project status, data responsibilities, and questions
- Partner with consultants to deliver contracted services, manage project scope, and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with internal leadership to continuously enhance company products and expand service offerings
