Sales Executive
The Sales Executive is a full-time, field-based capital mobilization specialist responsible for driving membership and capital growth for SuncoopNG’s clean energy digital cooperative. Operating similarly to an alternative real estate syndication consultant, the executive pitches an innovative model that allows members to purchase fractional units of solar mini-grids rather than buying entire properties. Instead of traditional rental income, members earn recurring, inflation-hedged cooperative dividends generated from daily energy off-takers, effectively positioning them as digital landlords.
Success in this high-performance role is defined by a strict baseline performance metric of selling 6,000 fractional solar units or mobilizing set amount in capital every single month. To achieve this, the executive must identify and onboard high-potential consumer segments—such as corporate cooperative societies, market unions, thrift groups (esusu/ajo), and high-net-worth individuals—directly onto the digital platform. They are responsible for guiding investors seamlessly through the KYC and wallet-funding processes while nurturing long-term relationships to motivate members to automatically reinvest their dividends into new mini-grid sites.
As the commercial frontline and primary revenue engine of SuncoopNG, this role acts as the vital boots-on-the-ground bridge converting relational trust into fully funded clean energy infrastructure. While internal marketing drives digital brand awareness, the Sales Executive systematically unlocks capital from organized private networks. Ultimately, their ability to consistently secure funding directly dictates the deployment velocity and scaling speed of SuncoopNG's physical mini-grids across target regions.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute Strategic Network Prospecting: Identify, map, and approach high-potential investor segments including corporate cooperative societies, market unions, social clubs, and high-net-worth individuals to present the solar fractional ownership value proposition.
- Articulate the "Green Rental Yield" Metaphor: Educate prospects by seamlessly translating complex infrastructure financing into the familiar framework of fractional property investments—demonstrating how solar mini-grid co-ownership functions as a low-risk, high-occupancy alternative to traditional real estate.
- Onboard Members Digitally: Guide prospective cooperative members step-by-step through the digital registry process, identity verification (KYC), wallet funding, and fractional solar unit allocation via the mobile application.
- Deliver Consultative Presentations: Facilitate educational town halls, micro-seminars, private investor roundtables, and group pitches to simplify complex financial returns and explain risk-mitigation frameworks to diverse audiences.
- Manage Client Pipelines & Reporting: Track all investor interactions, log daily field activities, and submit weekly pipeline reports via the internal partner portal to ensure accurate capital forecasting.
- Resolve Inquiries & Manage Objections: Serve as the frontline point of contact for prospective members, addressing anxieties surrounding liquidity, asset management, and solar yields using verified company frameworks.
- Foster Portfolio Re-investment: Maintain continuous engagement with existing cooperative members, providing project updates to encourage the rolling over of dividends into newly deployed mini-grids.
Qualifications
This role requires a self-motivated sales professional with 3–5+ years of verified success in commission-heavy, relationship-driven environments like real estate syndication, insurance, or asset management. The ideal candidate possesses an active, pre-existing network of trusted retail investors or thrift societies and excels at translating complex financial concepts—such as compound ROI and cash-flow yields—into simple, everyday language. Additionally, they must be highly comfortable navigating fintech applications, display uncompromising ethical standards, and combine strong English skills with fluency in Hausa, local dialects, or Pidgin English to build authentic community rapport and close long-cycle deals.
Compensation & Performance Architecture
This position operates on a high-performance hybrid structure designed to offer a solid financial safety net for dedicated full-time professionals, while strictly maintaining a pay-for-performance model tied directly to company growth milestones.
- Performance-Linked Monthly Base / Stipend : A monthly base amount is provided to cover full-time commitment, transport, data, and field logistics. This base is strictly conditional and is unlocked only in months where the staff member meets the minimum sales milestone of selling 6,000 units or mobilizing set amount in capital.
- The No-Target, Commission-Only Clause: If the monthly minimum target is not achieved, the base amount is completely forfeited for that month. In this instance, only the standard direct commission on the actual sales volume generated will be processed.
- Uncapped Commissions: Earn direct, competitive percentage commissions on all funded capital attributed to your unique partner link or agent code, completely uncapped. Your earning power scales directly with your volume.
- Residual Yield Bonuses: Access additional milestone payouts when your onboarded cooperative members choose to re-invest their monthly or quarterly distributions into fresh projects.
Enablement & Corporate Support Infrastructure
