Staff Training Fellow
Position Summary
The SCA Fellow Intern will play a vital role in the Education & Training team by contributing to our Urban Forestry staff training initiative. As an SCA Fellow, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in project management, event planning, communication, and collaboration. This opportunity provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills, network, and make a positive impact on the environment. All SCA Fellow Interns will operate as a cohort, participating in orientation, training, and ongoing check-ins together throughout the program.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing, and executing an Urban Forestry Staff Training event; Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all logistical aspects are covered; Arrange for necessary equipment, materials, and supplies needed for the event; Coordinate transportation and accommodation for participants; Maintain clear and consistent communication with all participants and stakeholders; Ensure all training materials and resources are prepared and available for the event; Oversee the setup, execution, and teardown of the event; Address any issues or incidents that arise during the event; Manage on-site staff to ensure smooth operations; Conduct post-event evaluation to gather feedback from participants and stakeholders; Prepare a report on the event's outcomes and areas for future improvement;
Marginal Duties
Attend and actively participate in needed orientation, meetings, training sessions, and check-ins; Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines throughout the event; Perform any other duties as required by the Director of Program Curriculum & Education or the SCA;
Required Qualifications
Must have previous experience working in an SCA position (internship or team). Experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a corporate or training environment; Experience coordinating with vendors; Excellent organizational and project management skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Detail-oriented and highly organized; Creative problem-solving skills; Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances;
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and technology used in events; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.);

$20/hour
