Position Summary

Interns will be involved in prescribe fire activities such as prepping units, fireline construction, and RX crewmember. The interns will also help with the rec program in various types of jobs such as trail maintenance, campground maintenance and clean up, mowing, and weed eating.

Arduous WCT, S-130, S-190


This SCA Position is authorized under the Public Land Corps Authority. All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority.


Preferred Qualifications

S-112/S-212, First Aid/CPR, Basic Land Navigation


Hours

40 per week


Living Accommodations

Housing is available for rent.
Multiple bedroom with 2 bathrooms mobile home.


Compensation

Combined Living allowance and Commuting allowance: $600 per week;
Onetime relocation travel (personal vehicle required): $1,100.00
Housing allowance: $1,000.00 per month

All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
