Field Service Technician Opportunities – Mechanical & Controls (PLC)

Pay:
- Mechanical Field Service Technician: Up to $40/hr
- Controls Field Service Technician: Up to $45–$50/hr

Overview
Join a team known for designing and integrating custom automation systems used by manufacturers worldwide. We’re hiring two experienced Field Service Technicians — one specializing in mechanical troubleshooting and the other in electrical/controls (PLC) troubleshooting.
Both roles involve traveling to customer sites to install, repair, and maintain complex automation equipment, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll represent our company in the field, working directly with customers to resolve issues, recommend improvements, and keep their production running strong.
What You’ll Do
Common Responsibilities (Both Roles):
- Troubleshoot, repair, and service automated machinery at customer facilities (domestic and international).
- Diagnose mechanical and/or electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Communicate effectively with customers to resolve service needs and provide technical guidance.
- Complete detailed service and expense reports and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and support warranty/non-warranty service requests.
Mechanical Field Service Technician
If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and thrive on keeping machines running, this role offers a mix of precision troubleshooting and travel.
Key Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical familiarity.
- Experience with hand tools, gauges, and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Background in tool & die, mechanical systems, or related fields.

Controls Field Service Technician
For those skilled in automation and PLC troubleshooting, this position focuses on controls, programming, and system integration.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency with Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, servos, VFDs, and Ethernet/Profibus networks.
- Ability to make online programming changes and debug equipment using trends and diagnostic tools.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 79, and related electrical standards.
- Experience in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting within automation systems.
? Pay: Up to $45–$50/hr
Travel Bonuses
- Weekday: $50/day for each overnight stay after working more than 4 hours on-site.
- Weekend: $150/day (international) or $100/day (domestic, including Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic).
