About Stepwise

Stepwise Electric is building the infrastructure layer that enables homes to electrify without overloading the grid. As electricity demand accelerates (EVs, heat pumps, AI/data centers), the fastest infrastructure to build is the one we don’t have to — by better utilizing what already exists.

Please only apply if you live in the state of NY or MA.

About the Role

This is a highly cross-functional operations role focused on turning programs into real-world deployments.

You’ll sit at the intersection of:

  • contractor onboarding
  • homeowner support
  • utility program operations
  • deployment coordination
  • customer success
  • field troubleshooting
  • process building

This role is ideal for someone who loves organizing moving pieces, building relationships, solving problems quickly, and helping operational systems run smoothly in the real world.

You will work directly with electricians, homeowners, utilities, nonprofit partners, and internal engineering/product teams to ensure deployments move from interest → onboarding → installation → successful commissioning.

This is not a traditional corporate project management role. We are looking for someone proactive, highly organized, people-oriented, and energized by helping programs gain traction and scale. You should also feel comfortable being in the field from time to time and engaging with electrical contractors on the ground.

This is a part-time contract position (with the potential to convert to a full-time position in the future). We are looking for candidates who are currently living in the state of NY or MA.
