Project Origination Manager - Renewable Energy
Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an experienced Project Origination (Government Relations) Manager to support the identification and advancement of strategic opportunities across the energy sector.
The role will be responsible for developing relationships with key government, regulatory, and industry stakeholders, while staying abreast of market, regulatory, and project developments. Working closely with internal teams, the successful candidate will assess relevant opportunities, provide market insights, and support the advancement of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, analytical, proactive, and comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government and industry stakeholders to strengthen market understanding and stay informed on relevant project and sector developments.
- Identify and assess relevant project and tender opportunities, providing strategic insights on market developments, stakeholder dynamics, and potential business implications.
- Leverage strong stakeholder relationships and market knowledge to support the identification and evaluation of relevant business opportunities.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory and industry developments, translating complex information into clear and actionable business implications.
- Collaborate with internal commercial, technical, and project teams to evaluate opportunities and support strategic business initiatives.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project origination, project development, business development, government relations, corporate affairs, or similar roles within the energy sector.
- Experience in renewable energy, power, utilities, infrastructure, or other highly regulated industries, with hands-on exposure to projects and/or tenders.
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian energy and regulatory landscape, ideally with established relationships across PLN, ESDM, and relevant government stakeholders.
- Proven track record of identifying and securing project opportunities, with experience supporting projects from early-stage opportunity through successful acquisition and into execution.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to read, interpret, and translate regulatory, market, and project information into actionable business insights.
