Power Portfolio Manager
Job Description ResponsibilitiesAlong with the team, build and maintain Statkraft's power market portfolio derived from the PPA business (PJM-focus initially). Work closely with originators for new deal origination, structuring and pricingOptimize the value of the U.S. portfolio through dynamic hedge management and position optimization in long-, mid-, and short-term markets. Execute screen and OTC transactions and propose trade ideas that enhance risk-adjusted returns—taking mandate-aligned risks where appropriate to generate incremental revenue.Develop both quantitative and fundamental views of relevant power markets along the entire curve, liaising closely with team members and analysis functions to share know-how and market viewsProactively contributes to the development and growth of the business:Identify new market opportunities, and potential value-adding fieldsAssess and translate competition, industry trends, emerging customer challenges, and changes in the marketplace into market strategies and product offerings. Help to drive the implementation of the business strategy forward (expansion to new regions/products/markets, deployment of new systems/frameworks, etc)Work closely with existing US environmental products portfolio manager to identify all cross-commodity opportunities and risks, while being able to report and comprehensive view of the US portfolioConstantly improve modelling tools and optimization approach, actively shape the set-up of state-of-the art portfolio management infrastructure and proceduresInteract with credit, operations, and trading teams as necessary to advance transactionsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with proprietary trading team, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and information sharingTake care of day-to-day administrative issues related to the portfolioCreate systems and tools to help business scaleQualificationsStrong fundamental analysis, risk management, and market pricing experienceExcellent quantitative and analytical skillsIT & Coding Skills (Python)Working knowledge of the structure and policy of the PJM power market (and underlying states)Communication SkillsEntrepreneurialAttention to DetailPersonal IntegrityTeam PlayerAdditional Information What we offer A career with Statkraft is a career filled with purpose – meaning that every employee is not just making a living, they are making a real difference to the planet, our communities, and the future.
