Communication & Visibility Trainee
Requisition Number: 24081BR
Description
Stantec provides a full spectrum of Communications and stakeholder engagement services, supporting policy outreach. Effective communications are essential for building trustful relationships with all audiences involved in policy making or impacted by policy programming. This applies to the whole communication cycle, going from policymakers to local communities, and vice versa, and includes specific attention to (social) media to deliver messages and capture the pulse of the opinion. In any sectoral policy programme, design and implementation phases will be positively affected by a thorough consideration, from the early stages and along the whole process, of how words, images, stories and interactions are skillfully crafted to connect with those whose support is required. It is by bringing together all communities involved, engaging everyone in shaping mutually beneficial decisions, through the life-creating power of communication, that public policies truly deliver the best impact – and at Stantec we trust that this is an essential contribution to the success of our clients.
We approach stakeholder engagement in an integrated manner to ensure that communication and policy strategies are closely coordinated with and support the technical elements of the project, in order to provide wider awareness and understanding of those strategies.
Stantec major client groups include multinational industrial companies, governments, international funding, aid agencies (EU, EBRD, World Bank, EIB, USAID, the Kuwait Fund, DFID and the UN), and utility companies.
We employ and partner with a diverse network of communication experts, social scientists, and inclusion specialists. They help us bridge the gap between sectoral expertise and the need for efficient, impactful and clear messages, and they enable us to deliver communication expertise in those specific areas where we have been active over the last 20 years, namely environment, climate change, water and energy-related sectors.
Stantec has assumed many leadership roles and provided a complete range of management services for Online Communications on the Foreign Partnership Instruments. Among others, we support the European Commission and its EU delegations with communications services in the Middle East and North African region (Morocco and Tunisia).
We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time (m/f) Communication & Visibility Trainee to join our international and dynamic Belgian unit to support our growth and ambition in Communications and Stakeholder Engagement services lead by the Centre of Expertise in Communications.
The trainee in Communication and Visibility will be part of the Center of Expertise in Communications. She/he will be involved in supporting the implementation of the communication activities covered by different contracts.
