The Opportunity
Stantec Ireland is seeking highly skilled and motivated Engineers and Project Managers to join our growing Energy team.
We are looking for professionals across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, SCADA and Electrical Engineering, as well as Project Management, with experience delivering High Voltage Transmission and Renewable Energy projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team working across major energy infrastructure projects, including HV substations, underground and submarine cables, overhead lines (OHL), and renewable energy developments including offshore wind.
The successful candidates will play a key role in the planning, design, technical review and delivery of complex energy projects, working alongside clients, developers, EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

About The Role
Depending on your discipline and level of experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing feasibility studies, site assessments, technical evaluations and reports for transmission and renewable energy projects.
- Developing technical specifications, tender documentation and procurement requirements.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, specialist consultants, developers and EPC contractors.
- Managing and coordinating technical inputs from internal and external teams.
- Undertaking and managing technical design reviews of EPC Contractor designs.
- Managing or undertaking manufacturing inspections and test compliance witnessing, including FAT, PQ and TT requirements for HV systems.
- Reviewing EPC Contractor commissioning test plans, procedures and documentation.
- Supporting the preparation of detailed designs, design reviews, technical reports, tender documentation and tender evaluations.
- Providing technical input into the procurement of new materials, equipment and systems.
- Supporting site inspections, construction supervision and project delivery where required.
- Coordinating design disciplines and contributing to the development and maintenance of project programmes.
- Supporting the management and control of design costs and technical deliverables.
- Providing specialist technical advice to project and design teams, particularly in relation to design, constructability and project delivery.
- Supporting the wider team in the successful delivery of high voltage and renewable energy infrastructure projects.
We are looking for candidates at a range of grades, from 5 years' post-qualification experience upwards, who have a strong technical background and a passion for delivering complex energy infrastructure projects.
You Will Ideally Have
- A relevant Level 8 minimum third-level degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years' experience in High Voltage, Transmission or Renewable Energy projects.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, SCADA, HV Transmission, Renewable Energy or Project Management.
- Strong professional and technical knowledge within your area of expertise.
- Experience working on or supporting the delivery of HV stations, cables, OHL or renewable energy projects, with offshore wind experience highly desirable.
- Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively across multiple projects.
- Proficiency in relevant industry-standard engineering and project management software.
