Stantec’s Water team in New Zealand has an impressive portfolio of successful projects that benefit communities nationwide and beyond, with significant contributions to international work. Our water focus covers the management of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and groundwater as a collective resource. Dams and hydropower are a key focus, driving resilience and renewable energy solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented Process Engineer to join our high performing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our project managers and organisational leaders by delivering sound technical expertise and practical process solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and add measurable value to complex projects.

Day to day tasks include;

  • Conduct site surveys, field investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects
  • Produce calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical design will provide the appropriate solution
  • Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required
  • Work alongside local and virtual technical teams (virtual team could include Pune, India) to ensure projects are efficiently delivered on time and quality
  • Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3 years) in process engineering or continuous improvement, ideally within change management bent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
