Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety regulations, and inspection standards.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read measurements using a standard ruler to 1/8 inch.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment test.
Job Duties:
- Operate compression presses to produce molded rubber parts.
- Spray molds with lubricant as required.
- Assemble and weigh preps according to molding specifications.
- Load materials into molds and begin cure cycles.
- Unload cured parts from presses.
- Inspect molded parts for defects according to quality standards.
- Trim, inspect, and package finished products.
- Complete production and quality reports accurately.
- Operate multiple presses and processes as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and standard operating instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
