As a
Supply Chain Analyst
you’ll play a key role in optimizing and modelling St1’s HVO value chain as part of our Planning and Optimization team in the Energy Trade and Logistics business unit.
In this role, you will work at the core of logistics and commercial decision-making, collaborating closely with our trading team, supply chain operations and refinery. Your work will support effective planning, commercial optimization, financial forecasting and cross-functional decision-making across the HVO value chain.
You’ll report to the Head of Planning & Optimization and work closely with traders, supply chain specialists and refinery stakeholders.

Your daily impact
In your everyday work, you will:
- Work at the commercial core of St1’s HVO business, supporting decision-making on feedstocks, products and market opportunities.
- Participate in HVO value chain planning and optimization across sourcing, production and commercial operations.
- Develop and enhance analytical and optimization tools that improve business performance and decision-making.
- Build and maintain margin models, scenario analyses and financial forecasts to support value chain planning.
- Evaluate new business cases, product opportunities and investment alternatives from a commercial and economic perspective.
- Provide high-quality analysis and insights to support cross-functional stakeholders, management and trading activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and joint venture partners to strengthen value chain management practices.
- Act as a backup for the Supply Chain Planner during absences and peak workload periods.
What you bring to the team
We’re looking for an analytical and curious colleague who enjoys solving complex business problems and developing better ways of working. To thrive in this role, you likely have
- Some relevant work experience, minimum 3 years, from production or supply chain planning or value chain optimization in the energy, oil, renewable fuels or process industry is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate, analyze and evaluate different alternatives.
- A creative and independent working style combined with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Strong English communication skills are required. While Finnish is not needed to perform the role, it is considered a plus as we use both Finnish and English in our office.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills using Excel and other data analysis tools.
- A suitable university degree, such as a B.Sc. or M.Sc.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, mainly to St1 locations in the Nordics and potentially the UK, as well as relevant industry events.
It’s an extra spark if you also:
- Understand EU renewable energy regulation and its implications for the Nordic market.
- Have experience with Supply Chain tools eg. AVEVA Unified, including model development, configuration or end-user application.
- Have experience with Python or other analytical or programming languages, or familiarity with AI-powered productivity and analytics.
