Carbon Project Developer

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Carbon Project Developer to join the ST Climate team and build a career in carbon markets and carbon project development.

This position is specifically designed for recent graduates who are eager to learn, take responsibility and develop expertise in the growing carbon market. No previous professional experience in carbon markets is required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about international carbon standards, carbon project development processes and carbon credit generation while working closely with our team and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the development and management of carbon projects throughout their lifecycle
• Researching and identifying new carbon project opportunities
• Communicating and coordinating with project owners, consultants, technical teams and other relevant stakeholders
• Learning and following carbon standards such as VCS, Gold Standard, GCC, CDM and other relevant standards
• Assisting in the preparation, review and management of project documentation
• Following project registration, validation, verification, monitoring and carbon credit issuance processes
• Supporting emission reduction calculations, monitoring activities and technical analyses
• Researching developments in carbon markets, methodologies, regulations and international standards
• Monitoring the progress of existing projects and their carbon credit generation processes
• Supporting communication with project owners and clients and ensuring effective project follow-up
• Participating in site visits and project assessments when required
• Preparing reports, presentations and analyses related to carbon projects and carbon credit processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Energy, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Strong interest in carbon markets, climate change and sustainability
• Strong analytical thinking, research and problem-solving skills
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to learn technical concepts, international standards and new methodologies
• Ability to understand technical information and work with detailed documentation
• Proactive attitude, curiosity and a strong sense of responsibility

• Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Willingness to travel when required
