Spruce is seeking a Solar Maintenance Technician who is responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of solar energy systems, ensuring their optimal performance and longevity. Solar Maintenance Technicians also assist with system installations and provide technical support to clients. They work closely with solar engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Inspect and maintain solar energy systems: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to solar PV systems, including electrical and mechanical issues.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal performance and longevity of solar systems.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and parts used.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure proper equipment setup and integration.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to solar system performance. Offer technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance over the phone, through email, or during site visits.
Ensure customer satisfaction and provide education on system operation and maintenance.
Proven experience in solar maintenance or a related field.
Must possess a current and valid Residential or General Electrician license.
Solid understanding of solar PV systems, components, and associated electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures.
Physical stamina to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and handle tools and equipment.
Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and willingness to travel to different worksites as required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional technical certifications or vocational training in solar energy systems or electrical engineering is preferred.
