The Role

We are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Space Business Associate to join our team. This role is crucial for assisting with day-to-day management of business operations, sales, and project delivery. The successful candidate will initially focus on assisting company leadership while building expertise to eventually progress into more independent senior roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Operations & Administration: Support day-to-day business operations including finance coordination, contracts, compliance, and internal processes.
• Project & Delivery Support: Assist with planning, tracking, and coordination of internal and customer-facing projects across technical and commercial teams.
• Commercial & Business Development Support: Support sales and business development activities including CRM management, proposal preparation, market research, and customer follow-ups.
• Finance, Legal & Compliance Support: Assist with bookkeeping coordination, contract administration, grant reporting, and regulatory or compliance documentation.
• People, Culture & Internal Coordination: Support recruitment, onboarding, internal documentation, and people operations as the company scales.
• Strategy, Research & Executive Support: Conduct research, prepare analysis and materials, and support leadership with strategic initiatives and special projects.
• Role Progression & Development: Build expertise and progressively take ownership of defined functional areas, with a clear pathway into a more senior or specialised role.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of relevant professional experience in a company, not-for-profit, or other organisation.
• Proven experience in hardware design and testing, ideally with experience taking a product from prototype to final design.
• Have the right to work in Australia, with citizenship in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, South Korea, or another European country.
