The Opportunity

A rapidly growing investment and financial services platform focused on renewable energy and other tax-advantaged investments is seeking a Junior Associate, Renewable Energy to join its expanding team.

The firm has a well-established presence across the renewable energy and tax credit markets, with a growing portfolio of transactions spanning a variety of clean energy technologies and project types. The team works closely with developers, investors, lenders, legal counsel, and other industry partners to structure, underwrite, and close complex renewable energy investments.

This is an entrepreneurial environment where junior professionals have the opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to renewable energy finance, tax equity, transaction underwriting, financial modeling, and deal execution.


Position Overview

The Associate will work closely with senior members of the Renewable Energy team to support the underwriting and closing of renewable energy investment transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in developing expertise across project finance, structured finance, renewable energy, and tax-advantaged investments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support due diligence and transaction execution for renewable energy investments
  • Coordinate internal and external documentation and data room processes
  • Prepare underwriting materials summarizing transaction fundamentals, key risks, mitigants, and sponsor/guarantor strength
  • Participate in transaction and closing calls with developers, investors, counsel, and other external stakeholders
  • Review and analyze legal documentation and work alongside counsel and business partners to identify and mitigate transaction risks
  • Review and analyze financial models supporting renewable energy transactions and investment structures
  • Support investor-facing teams by responding to questions and providing transaction-related information
  • Track transaction progress and communicate deal updates to senior management
  • Assist with evaluating project economics, investment structures, and overall transaction risk


Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of professional experience, ideally within renewable energy, project finance, tax equity, structured finance, credit, investment banking, or a related field
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and the broader energy transition
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with complex financial models and large amounts of transaction data
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple active transactions and competing deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • Interest in project finance, structured finance, and tax-advantaged investment structures
  • Prior experience in project finance, credit analysis, renewable energy, legal/paralegal work, or financial services is a plus, but not required
