Battery Energy Storage Lab Technician (Contract)

Location: New Stanton, PA

Job Type: Contract (Full-Time, Onsite)

No per diem or travel assistance included; must be local or willing to commute/relocate to the site.

About the Role

We are seeking a Battery Energy Storage Lab Technician to join our testing and validation team. In this hands-on role, you will support the development, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of battery energy storage systems (BESS) . You’ll work alongside engineers and technical specialists in a lab environment, helping ensure our energy storage products meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of battery modules and systems.
• Assist in setup and operation of test equipment , instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
• Collect and document test data, report results, and identify performance trends.
• Support lab organization, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement improvements in testing methods and product design.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering/Technology field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with battery systems, electrical testing, or power electronics is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, instrumentation, and lab procedures .
• Comfortable working with tools, wiring, and data logging equipment.
• Safety-minded, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
