What You Will Do in This Role:
Project Ownership: Serve as primary project owner for NGBS certification projects from design through completion
Field Verification: Conduct on-site field inspections (up to 20%)
Meeting Facilitation: Lead and participate in design review and preconstruction meetings with development teams
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other NGBS Green Verifiers to solve complex technical issues and delegate tasks effectively
Client Management: Track invoices, project status updates, and maintain communication with project stakeholders
Multi-State Coordination: Manage projects across multiple states with varying energy and building code requirements
Technical Problem-Solving: Work on all phases of projects requiring innovative solutions for NGBS compliance
Quality Assurance: Ensure all NGBS deliverables meet program requirements and company standards
Documentation: Maintain accurate project records and compliance documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as building science, construction, sustainability, architecture, or business
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, field verification, or green building certification programs
Certification: Valid credentials from Home Innovation Research Labs (NGBS Green Verifier) or other relevant green building programs
Travel Requirement: Ability to travel for field inspections and on-site meetings (up to 20%)
Physical Capability: Ability to conduct field inspections in various construction environments
Knowledge of NGBS program requirements and field verification practices
Technical knowledge of building science fundamentals, HVAC systems and the construction process
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for diplomatic and collaborative problem solving
Excellent organizational and time management skills for managing a portfolio of 40 to 60 projects
Proficient in Google 'G Suite': Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive and Meet
Ability to collaborate with MES Team Members, NGBS Green Verifiers, and Project Teams (Developer, Architect, Builder, Engineers, Subcontractors)
Preferred Qualifications:
NGBS Green Verifier credentials from Home Innovation Labs
Experience with multifamily new construction
