Are you passionate about energy efficiency, sustainability, and managing high-impact projects that make a real difference?

We’re seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Specialist to oversee multifamily energy efficiency programs supporting large-scale conservation initiatives across New Jersey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful projects involving HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, and other energy conservation measures (ECMs) while collaborating with vendors, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders in a highly visible role.

Location: Hybrid – Newark, NJ

Currently 3 days onsite per week

12 month contract with a likely extension

Compensation: Up to $77/hr depending on experience

What You’ll Do:

• Lead multifamily energy efficiency projects from scope through completion

• Manage schedules, budgets, forecasting, QA/QC, and vendor performance

• Ensure compliance with BPU-approved program requirements

• Analyze project performance data and provide management reporting

• Conduct project site visits and maintain strong customer relationships

• Oversee contractor coordination, invoicing, and safety compliance

• Support impactful sustainability initiatives throughout NJ

What We’re Looking For:

✔️ 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields

✔️ Strong understanding of energy conservation measures and incentive structures

✔️ Experience with milestone-based construction payments and financial forecasting

✔️ Vendor management and invoicing expertise

✔️ Excellent communication and organizational skills

✔️ Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

✔️ Knowledge of NJ energy efficiency frameworks and cost-effectiveness standards preferred

✔️ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
