Role Description
In this role, you will be responsible for helping build the actual backend modeling capability that powers this part of Kumo Solar.
You will:
- Build or prototype the backend logic for 3D solar project modeling
- Develop methods for shading analysis and shading loss calculation
- Translate site geometry, layout, terrain, and surrounding obstructions into performance-impacting model inputs
- Define how shading should be represented and computed in the system
- Help structure the technical logic so it can be integrated into production
- Work closely with our software engineer, who can support productionization and system integration
