The Team You're Joining

  • The Steel Team works to drive structural change in industrial decarbonization through research, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on the steel sector.
  • We collaborate with academia, civil society, and corporates to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and push for meaningful policy and legislative change in Korea and beyond.

How You'll Contribute

  • Conduct analysis and review of emission reduction measures and policy trends related to the steel industry, both domestically and internationally
  • Engage with government and the National Assembly on relevant climate policies, budgets, and legislation
  • Communicate and build solidarity with domestic and international climate and civil society organizations
  • Support public campaigns and events including seminars focused on the green transition of industry

Who We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of relevant work or research experience
  • Genuine interest in industrial emissions, decarbonization, climate, environment, and energy issues

Nice to Have

  • Background or degree in climate, energy, or environment, or work experience in the steel sector
  • Campaign or advocacy experience in civil society
  • Ability to write and communicate in both English and Korean
