The Team You're Joining

  • We aim to accelerate the decarbonization of South Korea's shipping industry by halting the use of and investment in fossil fuels for ships, improving policies for the adoption of green fuels, and strengthening public-private cooperation.
  • We work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the entire shipping lifecycle, including the production, transportation, and combustion of fuels, in line with international standards.

How You'll Contribute

  • Produce applied research on emission reduction measures for the shipping industry
  • Draft policy proposals for government and industry stakeholders
  • Produce content to engage industry on the climate impacts of sectoral emissions
  • Communicate and quickly build strong relationships with domestic and international climate organizations, including research institutes
  • Support relevant campaigns and the hosting of events, including seminars

Who We're Looking For

  • Fluency in both Korean and English (speaking and writing)
  • 2-7 years of work experience, including research experience
  • Genuine interest in and understanding of industrial emissions, decarbonization, climate, environment, and energy issues
  • Willingness to learn about and understand different industries
  • Persuasive advocacy skills

Nice to Have

  • Background in shipping or shipbuilding
  • Degree or work/research experience related to climate, energy, or environment
  • Experience writing policy proposals, reports, or research articles
  • Research, advocacy, or campaign experience in civil society, research institutes, or think tanks
  • Ability to conduct research, write reports, and run meetings in both English and Korean
