The Team You're Joining

  • The Petrochemical Team works to drive structural change in industrial decarbonization through research, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement across sectors including steel, shipping, and energy.
  • We collaborate with domestic and international companies, academia, and civil society to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate Korea's transition away from fossil fuels.

How You'll Contribute

  • Conduct research and produce reports on GHG emissions reduction measures in the industrial sector
  • Engage with government, industry, and other key stakeholders to advance SFOC's goals
  • Support campaigns that raise public awareness on GHG reduction and climate action
  • Communicate and build solidarity with domestic and international climate and civil society organizations
  • Support the organization of SFOC events including seminars and public forums

Who We're Looking For

  • Fluency in both Korean and English (speaking and writing)
  • 2+ years of work or research experience
  • Genuine interest in and understanding of GHG emissions, industrial decarbonization, climate change, and energy issues

Nice to Have

  • Academic degree or work experience in the energy or chemical industry
  • Experience writing policy proposals, research reports, or advocacy articles
  • Campaign or advocacy experience in research institutes, think tanks, or civil society organizations
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently
